Before founding Pushtree Associates, Alan was a key executive at three Fortune 500 companies. He has counseled senior executives and board members on more than 200 advisory assignments relating to strategic corporate development and communication. His industry experience includes mining and industrials (including ten years at Magma Copper Company), financials, energy and utilities, transportation, consumer products and professional services.

Alan has a BS in Mining Engineering and an MBA in finance and accounting. He is an active leader in the North American mining industry and co-chair of the SME annual Current Trends in Mining Finance conference.
